M.A. Sedawie & Co. has been in operation in excess of three decades. Our Head Office is located in Victoria, Australia and was first registered in 1970. Since this time, the Company has undertaken loss assessing and investigations on behalf of the Insurance and Legal Industry, Government Departments, self-Insurers, large Corporations, small companies and the private sector.

Our company holds a current Inquiry Agents Firm Licence, which allows us to undertake investigations on behalf of our clients.

Our company undertakes two types of investigations:

	Circumstance (factual) investigations, in which enquiries are undertaken by our Representatives into the facts and allegations surrounding an accident / incident.
	Surveillance (activity) investigations in which observations and enquiries are conducted to establish the current activities or capabilities of claimants.

Industry Experience

M.A. Sedawie & Co. have undertaken investigations on behalf of the Accident Compensation Commission and currently the Victorian WorkCover Authority in both the areas of Circumstance Investigations and Surveillance. Our Company produces thorough and informed reports to assist the claims staff in determination of claims, assessing any possible recovery potential and management of claims.

Our Company has undertaken investigations resulting in outcomes that include claimants who:

	Work while claiming to be totally incapacitated,
	Embellish their level of incapacity,
	Provide false statements

In addition, we have undertaken investigations in relation to:

	Internal corruption
	Impropriety or official misconduct

Our Company has undertaken investigations in relation to Common Law claim reductions and/or assisted in judgements being found in favour of the defendant, which has resulted in the claimant being ordered to pay costs in favour of the Victorian WorkCover Authority and/or their Agents.
