M.A. Sedawie & Co has been operating
since first registering in 1970.
The Company Founder Michael
Sedawie who had previously been employed as the State Claims
Manager with Mercantile Mutual, opened M A Sedawie & Co
as an Insurance Adjusting Business in Mitchell House in Lonsdale
Street Melbourne and undertook the adjusting of claims in
general insurance public liability as well as workers compensation
for insurers of the time like: The Chamber of Manufacturers,
Mercantile Mutual, National Employers Mutual and others.
The Company operated
as far as Papua New Guinea with a fully staffed office prior
to their independence from the Commonwealth in the late 70s.
The Company has been on the panel of the
Accident Compensation Commission / Victoria WorkCover Authority,
since the inception of WorkCare in 1985.
Mr Peter Sedawie is the Managing
Director and has been so since the passing of his father who
was the founder of the business in 1990. Peter ensures at
all times that the circumstance and surveillance services
are undertaken and completed to VWA standard objectives.
Over time the company has
developed designated Managerial Support Staff. These staff
form part of our Quality Management System and provide a hands-on
style specialising in Resource, Operations and Management
Systems.
The investigative
staff has an aggregate total of 169 years of service with
an average individual experience of 16 years in investigating
Workers' Compensation, Occupational Health and Safety, and/or
Public Liability matters.
To support the investigative team a complimentary
dedicated group of office support staff, including the Office
Manager that has been with the company for over 28 years,
has been continually developed.
